FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific Department of Athletics unveiled a new Sunny the Sunbird mascot during Wednesday night's volleyball game, marking the first for FPU since 2013. The new suit was designed to more closely resemble FPU's primary logo and features more orange and distinct feathers. 
 
"We believe this new university mascot will embody the passion we have for our institution and brings unity across our campus, alumni and local communities," Director of Athletics Aaron Henderson said. "We take pride in being the only school in the NCAA Division II West Region that has orange as a primary color, and we look forward to seeing how the new suit will bring even more energy to our athletics events."
