FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's soccer team resumes PacWest Conference action on Saturday evening, when they host Dominican at Ramirez Field. The Sunbirds will also be wearing green Vikings uniforms in recognition of FPU's first mascot, which will be auctioned off after the game.

About the Sunbirds (4-1-1, 2-1-0 PacWest)
FPU picked up a pair of victories in the first week of PacWest Conference action, defeating Academy of Art on Monday before holding on for a narrow victory over Point Loma on Saturday. Senior Anthony Velarde has totaled an assist or a goal in each of PU's six games this season, and his 31 career assists rank him fifth on the program's all-time list, two behind former teammate Alvaro Nogales.

Dominican 
About the Penguins (3-3-2, 0-0-1 PacWest)
Dominican played Academy of Art to a 2-2 tie in Saturday's league opener, giving the Penguins their second consecutive tie at Kennelly Field. As a team, the Penguins have taken 108 shots on the season, ranking them behind only Azusa Pacific on the conference leaderboard. Wilson Briggs has led the Dominican attack, scoring five of the team's 16 goals and ranking fourth in the league in that category.
