FRESNO, Calif. – Aamondae Coleman scored 23 points and 
Elijah Hill added 17 as Fresno Pacific handed #12 Chaminade its first loss of the season, 74-72, on Monday afternoon in PacWest play at the Special Events Center.  
 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a sluggish start, the Sunbirds found themselves down 37-34 at the half.  
• The second half was a different story, as FPU shot 65 percent from the floor and scored 40 points.
• FPU was trailing 50-49 before a 13-5 run gave the 'Birds their largest lead of the game, 62-55. Six points from 
Adrian Antunez highlighted the run.
• The Sunbirds then held off Chaminade down the stretch as a three from Coleman iced the game with a minute to play.
 
STATS OF THE GAME:
• Coleman led the Sunbirds with 23 points and added six rebounds, while Hill closed with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, four rebounds and three assists.
• 
Toby Christensen added 12 points and five boards and Antunez chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. 
• The 'Birds finished the night at 60 percent from the floor, which marked a season best.
• Erik Scheive scored a game-high 25 points for Chaminade.
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Chaminade was one win short of matching its best start in school history.
• The last victory against a ranked opponent for FPU was on Jan. 30, 2016 against Azusa Pacific (94-90). It also marks the highest ranked opponent that the 'Birds have ever beaten during the NCAA Division II era.
