HOW IT HAPPENED:

• UHH took an 11-9 lead into the first media timeout of the game, but Bree Alvarez went to the line immediately following the timeout.

• FPU scored 16 points off 12 Vulcan turnovers in the first half, heading to the locker room with a 44-29 lead.
• Alvarez picked up the third quarter right where she left off in the second, connecting on a pair of threes to total 25 points heading into the final quarter.
• The Vulcans were able to cut the deficit down to 10 in the fourth, but the Sunbirds were able to hang on for their second victory of league play.
