LAS VEGAS – The Fresno Pacific swimming and diving teams wrapped up the UNLV Invite on Saturday in Las Vegas. After numerous lifetime and season best times, the men picked up a sixth-place finish while the women took ninth.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Women
•
Arianne Kooijinga continued her strong meet for the 'Birds, this time in the 100 free. The freshman touched at 51.81 (14th) for an NCAA-B standard mark.
•
Olga Tovstogan had a season-best time in the 200 breast, as the sophomore touched at 2:15.38 (B-cut) in the prelims. She went 2:16.08 in the finals to take fourth.Â
• The Sunbirds closed out the meet with a season-best time of 3:30.44 in the 400-free relay. Â
• The women ended up with 118 points. UC Santa Barbara won the meet with 791.5 points.

Men
• The 100 freestyle race was the highlight for the Sunbirds, as
Iskender Baslakov (44.30) and
Dmitry Belolipetskiy (44.34) touched third and fourth, respectively. Baslakov moves to fourth in the program record book with the time. Both marks are also B-cuts for the NCAA's.
•
Kyle Jones put together a strong swim in the 200 back B-Final for FPU, as the senior touched at 1:52.49 to finish 11th overall.
•
Christian Meyer had a season-best mark in the 1650 free at 16:22.81.
• The 400-free relay finished off the meet, as the 'Birds took fifth at 3:01.09.
• The men amassed 312 points in sixth. UCSB also won the men's meet with 1,020 points.

BEYOND THE HEAT SHEET
• In the prelims, the Sunbirds totaled 30 season-best times and nine lifetime best marks.Â
• The four B-cut's for FPU pushed its total to 15 for the meet.
