QUOTABLE:
• "I'm really impressed with our young guys' growth. That's a really tough outcome for us tonight, but our guys are encouraged by each other's resilience. We have to show a little more composure in stretches, and we will close the gap from playing teams close to winning games consistently. Kevin Howland made a big time momentum three, Aamondae Coleman, Adrian Antunez and Elijah Hill continue to score consistently for us, and Toby Christensen gave us a really nice lift tonight. Will rest and recover and try to attack preparation for a really good Hawaii Pacific team on Saturday."- head coach C.J. Haydock

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• A sluggish first half had the Sunbirds trailing 37-31 at halftime.
• After falling behind by as many as nine, FPU chipped away at the Chaminade lead the entire second half.
• Each team exchanged buckets down the stretch before Hill drained a three to make the score 73-71. He then followed with a pair of free throws to tie the game at 73-73 with 46 seconds to play.
• The Silverswords answered back with two free throws of their own, but a Christensen layup forced overtime for the Sunbirds.
• Chaminade came alive offensively in the extra time and jumped out to a quick lead. A three from Nate Kendricks cut FPU's deficit to three (87-84) with 1:13 to play, but the 'Birds wouldn't come any closer the rest of the way.

STATS OF THE GAME:
