HONOLULU – The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team picked up a big road win at Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday, as FPU defeated the Sharks 67-54 in Honolulu. Five Sunbirds scored in double-digits in the wire-to-wire PacWest victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Elijah Hill drained a three to open the game and the Sunbirds never looked back.
• FPU shot 47 percent from the floor in the opening half and held a 39-18 advantage at the intermission.
• The 'Birds would go on to lead by as many as 27 in the second half before holding off the Sharks to earn the road victory.
 
STATS OF THE GAME:
• Hill and Nate Kendricks led the Sunbirds with 14 points apiece, while Adrian Antunez added 12 points. Kendricks added four assists and four boards to his line.
• Aamondae Coleman nearly picked up another double-double and finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Toby Christensen scored 10 on 3-of-5 shooting for FPU.
• The 'Birds forced 14 turnovers and held the PacWest Preseason Player of the Year, Jonathan Janssen, to only 10 points.
 
BEYOND THE BOX:
• The Sunbirds picked up their first PacWest victory of the season on Saturday.
• FPU had its best shooting night from three on the year, making 11 treys.
