FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific jumped back in the win column on Friday night after defeating Academy of Art 3-0 in PacWest play at the Special Events Center.
Carley Bock led the Sunbirds to the victory with 14 kills and 10 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Fresno Pacific came out firing in the opening set and held ART U to a .000 hitting percentage to earn the win.
Mikayla Kennedy provided three aces to spark a run that gave FPU control of the frame.
• Two straight kills from
Carley Bock in the second set gave FPU the lead for good, as the 'Birds jumped ahead 2-0 in the match. The senior finished with five kills in the frame.
• FPU carried the momentum into the final set and hit .419 to cruise to the match victory.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Bock led all players with 14 kills and added 10 digs, while
Madison Pierce totaled 11 kills on .529 hitting.
Mikayla Kennedy chipped in with six kills and four aces.
• The offense was facilitated by
Greta Dobenecker, who finished with 33 assists.
• The 'Birds held ART U to .073 hitting in the match, which matched a season best for FPU.
