SAN FRANCISCO – The Fresno Pacific men's soccer team went back-and-forth with Academy of Art on Saturday afternoon, but the Sunbirds eventually came up with an overtime goal to pick up their fourth straight victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds wasted no time on the attack, finding the net in the fifth minute for the early lead.
• Academy of Art responded with the equalizer 14 minutes later, but defense prevailed for the duration of the first half.
• FPU broke through with a 60th-minute score, but the Urban Knights again answered with a goal of their own 16 minutes later.
• The Blue and Orange went on top once more with six minutes to play, but ARTU stormed back with their own third goal to force extra time.
• FPU saw a bevy of golden goal opportunities in the overtime period but finally ended the game in the 99th minute.
SCORING:

Joao Ravasio,
Anthony Velarde dribbled into the top right corner of the box and slotted the ball just inside the right post.

(18:49) Gilli Kristjansson opened up space for himself on the right side of the box before firing to the top left corner to get the Urban Knights on the board.

(60:25) Ravasio crossed the ball in to
Jose Segura, who headed in his first score of the season to help FPU retake the lead.
•
(76:53) Edvard Edvarsson's free kick led to Adrian Cekala finding the equalizer with a shot to the left corner.
•
(83:53) Velarde teamed up with
Sawyer Fischer to take a late lead and give Fischer his first score of the season.
•
(87:42) Oliver Hadeen's pass to Andrew Deans in the box led to the final tie of the game, with Deans connecting just under the crossbar.
•
(98:16) Velarde found
Bruno Brumati just inside the top of the box, and Brumati's shot to the right corner gave the Sunbirds the win.

• Fresno Pacific outshot their hosts 26-14, including a slight 10-9 mark in shots on frame.
• FPU's
Patrick Timmer and ARTU's Kris Jensson each tallied six saves.
• The Sunbirds took ten of the game's 13 corner kicks.
BEYOND THE BOX:
• Velarde has tallied a point in eight of FPU's nine games this season. He now has 35 career assists, moving him ahead of former teammate Alvaro Nogales for third on FPU's all-time list.
• The Sunbirds have seen four different players find the back of the net on three occasions this season.
• During the current four-game win streak, FPU has won three games by just one goal.
