FRESNO, Calif. – Carley Bock put down a game-high 14 kills on Thursday night, but Fresno Pacific fell to Hawai'i Pacific 3-0 in PacWest action. Set scores were 25-23, 25-22 and 25-22 in favor of the Sharks.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds and Sharks battled it out in the opening set and exchanged points throughout the frame. HPU escaped with the set win despite FPU leading 22-20 at one point.
• The second set was much of the same, as each team went back and forth before HPU used a 5-1 run at the end to clinch the frame.
• With the score 22 all in the third, HPU used a 3-0 run to hold off the Sunbird comeback and escape Fresno with the sweep.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Bock led all players with 14 kills, while
Madison Pierce added 11 and
Mikayla Kennedy totaled nine for the Sunbirds.

Greta Dobenecker amassed 47 assists for FPU, while
Sierra LeBeau scooped up 20 digs.
• HPU out-blocked the Sunbirds 10-2. The Sharks received 12 kills from Cameryn Collie  and eight blocks from Carson Pyle in the win.
