LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team earned a 1-0 road victory on Saturday night, making an 8th-minute goal stand as the game-winner. The Sunbirds are back above .500 in PacWest Conference play with the win, while the Eagles took a hit in the league standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• FPU got on the board early and kept pressure on the Eagles throughout the first half, carrying a 1-0 lead into the intermission.
• The Sunbirds didn't let up offensively, taking another eight shots in the second half to maintain the bulk of the possession.
