SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific men's water polo team snapped a two-game skid with a 13-12 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. FPU also fell to #16 Brown 12-7 at the tourney.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds and Terriers played the opening three quarters tight, as the two teams were tied 8-8. FPU then scored three straight to take the lead to open the fourth, and didn't look back to earn the 13-12 win.
•In the nightcap, FPU and Brown went into the second quarter tied 2-2. The Sunbirds couldn't overcome the two middle quarters, as Brown used a 6-2 run to take control and eventually hold on for the win.
STATS OF THE GAMES:

Richard Szepesi led the Sunbirds with four goals in the win over SFBK.
Lazar Raca added three goals, while
Taylor Heckathorn and
Jacob Fairchild added two apiece.
• FPU received a hat trick from
Uros Pelemis against Brown.
