QUOTABLE:
• "The road trip up affected us more than I'd like to admit, and we faced a Monterey Bay team that was well organized defensively. We had some good moments but lacked consistency, and our indecisiveness betrayed us today. We need our veterans to step up more in situations like this." - head coach Jaime Ramirez

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Otters took advantage of an empty net in the game's 21st minute to take their first lead of the season.
• Fresno Pacific saw plenty of opportunities to score, but CSUMB was able to complete to the clean sheet for their first win of the year.

SCORING:
• (20:29) Adrian Rebollar scored his second goal in as many games after the initial shot deflected off FPU goalkeeper Patrick Timmer.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Sunbirds shot 17 times on the day, including eight on frame. The Otters countered with 11 shots and just two on target.
• CSUMB took a trio of corner kicks while allowing FPU only two.
• Timmer recorded a pair of saves in his first collegiate loss. CSUMB counterpart Jesus Ochoa tallied seven in his first collegiate win.

BEYOND THE BOX:
• Saturday was CSUMB's first victory over Fresno Pacific since 2002.
• Both goalkeepers in Saturday's game are true freshmen.
• CSUMB and FPU each move to 1-1-0 on the year, with all four games being separated by one goal.
• The Sunbirds have outshot opponents 41-22 on the young season.

UP NEXT:
• The Sunbirds return to action on Tuesday, when they take on #15 Cal Poly Pomona on the road. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m. from Kellogg Field.
