FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team is set to face off with Humboldt State on Saturday in the final game of the 2017 Lumberjack Classic. The match is set to begin at HSU's College Creek Field in Arcata at noon.
  
The Series
• The Jacks won the only previous meeting between the two teams, defeating the Sunbirds 1-0 in Arcata in 2005.
 
About the Sunbirds
• Fresno Pacific enters play with a record of 0-1-0 this season after dropping Thursday's opener against #22 Sonoma State by a final of 2-1.
• Whitney Snow is the lone Sunbird to record a goal so far, finding the net on a deflection in the 62nd minute on Thursday afternoon.
• The Blue and Orange were picked seventh in the 2017 PacWest Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
• FPU is led by Rob Podeyn, who is in his third year with the program and claims a record of 18-14-4 since being named head coach.

• Humboldt State knocked off Colorado Mesa 2-1 in Thursday's season opener behind Myriah Epino's game-winner in the 76th minute.
• HSU was picked 11th in the CCAA Preseason Coaches Poll after finishing with a 4-12-2 record last season.
• The Jacks are coached by Paul Karver, who carries a record of a 18-26-3 into his fourth season at HSU.
