FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Pacific men's basketball team sent its seniors off in style on Saturday night, as the Sunbirds downed Notre Dame de Namur 81-63 in the season finale at the Special Events Center.

FPU closes the 2016-17 campaign at 7-20 overall and 7-13 in the PacWest with the win. NDNU finishes at 4-22 overall and 2-18 in conference play.

Mike Crawley led the way for the Sunbirds with 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while senior
Spencer Krannitz added a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.
T.J. Viney was impressive running the offense in his final game as a Sunbird, totaling 14 points, five assists and five rebounds.
Suhail Mohammadi added five points and four assists and
Jeff Bartley totaled four points and four rebounds, as both earned the start for the final time in their careers.

FPU led 33-26 at halftime and led by as many as 20 during the second half. The Sunbirds used a 16-5 run to take control of the game in the second frame, highlighted by threes from
R.J. Horn and Viney with just over seven minutes to play. The game was then finished off with a two-handed slam from Krannitz and a monstrous one-handed dunk from Crawley in the final two minutes.

The Sunbirds finished the night shooting 46 percent from the floor and drained 10 threes. FPU dominated on the glass and out-rebounded the Argos 42-32, while also out-scoring NDNU 40-24 in the paint.

Tre'Shaw King-Dunbar led NDNU with 20 points and four assists.

FPU graduates Krannitz, Viney, Bartley and Mohammadi, but returns a solid core including Crawley, Horn,
Oliver Herting and
Sam Burt next season.
"I'm really proud of our seniors, and I think with our seniors, the biggest thing is their resilience," said head coach
C.J. Haydock. "Their willingness to persevere has been huge and really commendable. This stretch to end the year will really give us some momentum that we can build on in the future."Â Â
