AZUSA, Calif. – Fresno Pacific fell in four sets at Azusa Pacific on Saturday in PacWest action. Set scores were 25-19, 25-18, 22-25 and 25-14 in favor of the Cougars.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Sunbirds dropped the first two sets, but answered back in the third with a strong frame. FPU hit .350 in the set and used a 6-2 run late in the frame to earn the win.
• The Cougars answered back, however, in the fourth and hit a game-high .378 to finish off the win.
STATS OF THE GAME:
•
Gabriela Macedo led the way for the Sunbirds with 12 kills, 10 digs and three assists.
•
Malerie Crenshaw and
Carley Bock added 10 kills apiece,
Caroline Bodziak totaled nine kills,
Karah Mitchell finished with seven kills and 14 digs and
Tiff Wong amassed a team-high 22 digs for the 'Birds.
• The Cougars received a game-high 16 kills from Julianne Miller.

BEYOND THE BOX:
• Macedo totaled her seventh double-digit kill effort of the season and her seventh double-double of the year.
• APU is currently receiving votes in the national poll and is one spot out of the top-25.
