FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific women's soccer team picked up a key victory on Saturday evening, defeating California Baptist 1-0 in PacWest Conference play. The loss is the first for the Lancers in PacWest matches this season, while the Sunbirds improve to 5-2-0 in league action.
QUOTABLE:
"We knew we had a tough opponent ahead of us tonight, they have had an excellent season. It was about making sure our team focused on our game and not who played. We don't want to get wrapped up in the opponent. At halftime, I told them we need to force the game into the other half of the field and we did a good job of that." – head coach
Rob Podeyn
