FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific University men's soccer team fell 6-1 on Saturday night, stumbling against BYU-Hawaii in PacWest action. The Sunbirds now drop to 2-3-1 on the year, including a 1-1-0 mark in league contests.
"We made a mistake, and we paid for it. Our spirits got down, and our game on the field changed. They really got some energy after the first goal," head coach
Jaime Ramirez. "This was a very good team that we played tonight, but we don't like to lose like this at home."
Seasider forward Braden Bradley went for a first-half hat trick to carry the visitors to a 3-0 lead at the intermission. The Sunbirds got their lone goal three minutes into the second half, but BYU-Hawaii kept attacking and came away another three goals to earn the victory.
Fresno Pacific returns to action on Thursday, when they hit the road to take on Notre Dame de Namur. The match is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. from Belmont.
