SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Fresno Pacific water polo team wrapped up play at the Santa Clara Rodeo Tournament on Sunday, as FPU fell to #10 Bucknell 14-4 and Wagner 10-6.

The Sunbirds, who played their sixth game in the last four days, fall to 8-15 overall on the season.

FPU struggled in the opener to the Bison and fell behind 8-0 at the half. The Sunbirds scored four times in the second half, but Bucknell countered with six of their own to cruise to the win.

Kyle Eoff each found the back of the cage in the setback.
Dillon Robinson amassed 14 saves in the cage.

The Sunbirds were out-shot 43-19 and were held to an 0-for-4 clip on power-play opportunities.

Rade Jokismovic led Bucknell with four goals, two assists and four steals.

The Sunbirds fell victim to another slow start in the afternoon game, as FPU trailed 7-2 at the intermission. The Sunbirds played well in the second half, out-scoring Wagener 4-2, but it was too little too late.

David Maes led the Sunbirds with four goals, while
Kyle Madel and
Jacob Fairchild scored the final two goals with one apiece.

Oscar Nomura's three goals led the way for Wagner.

The Sunbirds jump back into Western Water Polo Association play this week against Air Force in Colorado at 9:30 a.m.
