HONOLULU – The Fresno Pacific volleyball team fell to Hawai'i Pacific in straight sets on Thursday night in PacWest action. The Sunbirds couldn't overcome a sluggish night offensively as the Sharks completed a season sweep of FPU.

Set scores were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-19 in favor of HPU. The Sunbirds fall to 5-8 overall on the season and 3-6 in league action with the setback, while the Sharks improve to 10-7 overall and 6-2 in league action.

FPU committed 20 errors on the night and was held to .101 hitting as a team. The Sharks countered at a clip of .312, including a .394 mark in set three to clinch the victory. HPU added seven service aces and out-blocked the Sunbirds 11-8.

Jasmine Phoolka led FPU with eight kills, while freshman
Hailey Hilvers added seven kills and four blocks.
Montana Lowe totaled five kills and four blocks,
Bissie DenHartog dished out 27 assists and
Chelsea Speaks amassed nine digs.

Pomai Recca led the Sharks with 12 kills and Mahea Pescaia added 19 assists.
