Fresno Pacific and Dominican faced off for the second time in five days, with the Penguins avenging Saturday's 61-60 loss in San Rafael by running away with an 86-64 victory at FPU.
Jenay Herring and
Taylor Caspers had 13 points apiece to lead the Sunbirds (3-15, 3-10 PacWest).
Keairra White added 11 points and
Jasmine Shedrick finished with 10. Herring dished out five assists in the loss.
Carly Holboke poured in a game-high 26 points for the Penguins (10-10, 7-7 PacWest). Sarah Nelson added a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Danielle Yamouchi dished out 12 assists.
The Penguins shot 49% on the night, including 60% from three-point range. FPU connected on just one three-pointer on the night.
The Sunbirds now travel to San Diego to take on Point Loma, a team FPU defeated 73-59 on December 20. Since that time though the Sea Lions have been on a hot streak and have risen to third in the PacWest at 10-4.
