BELMONT, Calif. – Five players scored in double figures as Fresno Pacific downed Notre Dame de Namur for the second time this season, 81-73, Saturday at Walter Gleason Gym. 
Madison Higgins powered the Sunbirds to the victory with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.
 
FPU improves to 8-16 overall and 4-12 in the PacWest with the win, while NDNU drops to 4-19 overall and 3-14.
 
The Sunbirds finished 50% from the floor, 41% from three and only committed five turnovers on the night.  FPU out-rebounded the Argonauts 32-27 and scored 40 points in the paint. The Sunbirds grabbed 14 offensive boards and capitalized with 18 second-chance points.
 
Trevon Clayton was a force in the middle for FPU and picked up his second straight double-double with 12 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. It marked his third such feat in four games and ninth this season. 
Jeff Amazan poured in 14 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting, 
Bobby Barnes scored 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and 
Roger Paul added 10.
 
"The guys came out hungry and played well from start-to-finish," said head coach 
Shane Rinner. "Trevon did a great job on the boards. 
Oliver Herting stepped up and contributed in a big time way on both sides of the ball. I am proud of their resilience after a tough OT game last time out."
 
The Sunbirds built a slight lead at the intermission 38-37.  With FPU ahead by two at the 11:19 mark, the Sunbirds used a 18-5 run the next five minutes to earn their largest lead of the night of 15 points, 72-57.
 
FPU is back in action at Holy Names on Monday at 7:30 pm.
