Morghan Williams had 20 kills and hit .613 to lead Fresno Pacific to a quick sweep of visiting Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday, as the Sunbirds avenged a 3-2 loss from earlier this season. FPU began a six-match home-stand by hitting a season-high .415 as a team, climbing back to .500 in PacWest play at 7-7.
Carley Bock added 11 kills and hit .391.
Bissie DenHartog dished out 44 assists. Three Sunbirds finished in double figure digs led by
Hannah Butler with 14.
Chelsea Speaks added 12 and
Montana Lowe finished with 10 to go with eight kills on .400 hitting.
Bianca Alvarez had seven kills to lead the Argos (8-15, 4-10 PacWest), but the Sunbirds held the top NDNU hitter to an .077 attack percentage. NDNU hit .108 as a team.
FPU became more dominant as the match went on, leaning on Williams who was virtually unstoppable, committing just one error to go with her 20 kills.
The Sunbirds are back in action this Monday as they'll look to even up the season series against Hawaii Hilo, hosting the Vulcans at 7 pm.
