Sunbirds fall to No. 4 Hawaii Pacific in Vegas Spring Tournament

Las Vegas, Nev. -- Fresno Pacific dropped its second straight in a 7-2 loss #4 Hawaii Pacific on the opening day of the Las Vegas Spring Tournament.

Petra Jurova continued her stellar season with a straight-set win (6-0, 7-6) over Hawaii Pacific's Karen Ramirez at No. 1 singles. Jurova and doubles pattern Angelika Sobiecka pulled out an 8-5 win over Ramirez and Celina Goetti to give the Sunbirds their second point.

With the loss Fresno Pacific falls to 4-7 heading into their match against the nation's No. 1 team, Armstrong Atlantic, tomorrow on day two of the Las Vegas Spring Tournament.
