HAYWARD, Calif. - FPU continued to struggle on the offensive end, shooting just 27% from the field in a 76-41 non-conference loss at CSUEB.
Jenay Herring and
Keairra White led the Sunbirds (0-4) with nine points apiece.
Jasmine Shedrick added seven points and three blocks.
FPU was out-rebounded 51-34 in the loss and turned the ball over 19 times.
"Cal State East Bay is a very good team and they controlled the game tonight," said head coach
Lindsey Wilson. "Until we decide to come together as a team we will continue to struggle. We need to share the ball and play as a team. Five assists for the game is simply not going to get it done."
Stephanie Lopez led the Pioneers (4-1) with 19 points.
The Sunbirds travel to CSU Bakersfield next week for a Wednesday night matchup with the NCAA Division I Roadrunners.
