Fresno Pacific beat No. 46 Sonoma State 6-3 behind dominant performances at the top spots in singles. The win is the Sunbirds second straight and comes with just one match to play before the PacWest Championships.

No. 24 Petra Jurova and No. 14 Marie Boura both swept their singles matches in straight sets. Jurova played her fourth match of the season at No. 1 singles while senior Boura held down the No. 2 spot.

FPU took two of three doubles matches, dropping the No. 3 spot 4-8 to Lauren Ha and Sheena Johnson. Jurova and Boura and Erika Januskova and Anna Mikhaylova took the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches by identical 8-2 scores.

In singles the Sunbirds took four of six matches winning the No. 1-3 and No. 6 spot. Jurova defeated Sara Clema in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Boura won 6-0, 6-1 over Megan White at No. 2 singles.

Fresno Pacific will face Dominican on Monday in San Rafael at 2:00 pm. The match will be the Sunbirds final before the PacWest Championships on April 18.
