NAIA preseason-#2 Fresno Pacific coasted to an 8-1 victory over Academy of Art on Saturday in San Francisco. It was the season opener for both teams.

FPU won the top five singles matches and all three doubles matches. The Sunbirds play their GSAC opener next Saturday at Westmont before beginning the home schedule the following Monday vs. Azusa Pacific.
