Jessica Torrecillas, playing in her final college game, finished with 13 points to give her exactly 1,500 for her career and pass former Sunbird player and current assistant coach Maurecia Crews (Clark) for second on FPU's all-time scoring list. The Sunbirds fell 93-56 at #6 Cal Baptist to conclude the 2010-11 season at 8-22.

Torrecillas converted a three-point play late in the first half to tie her with Crews at 1,494 points. She went inside for a layup on the next possession to put her all alone in second place, behind FPU great Teresa Kamps (2,156 career points).

She would score her final point as a Sunbird, sinking a free-throw with 9:45 to play in the second half, giving her 1,500 career points and making her just the second player in school history to reach that milestone.

The game itself did not go as well for the Sunbirds, who fell behind 26-3 early against one of the nation's top teams. The Sunbirds played respectable from that point on, but the damage was too much to overcome.

Michele Rebozzi wrapped up her college career with a team-high 15 points. Her 138 career three-pointers puts her sixth all-time at FPU. Jenay Herring added 13 points to close out an impressive freshman campaign.

CBU (23-7, 16-4 GSAC) got 20 points from Dana Olsen and 12 assists from Brenna Hahn in the win.

FPU says goodbye to five seniors, but is hoping for brighter days ahead for the program. Herring and Breana Buczek give next year's team two returning starters and the Sunbirds will benefit from players returning from injuries such as Keri Stephanoff and Brandi Blackwell.
