#13 Concordia scored twice in the second half to break a scoreless tie and defeat Fresno Pacific 2-0 in Irvine on Saturday. The Sunbirds finish the regular season at 6-8, 2-7 in GSAC play, and will face top-seed (NAIA #3) Point Loma Nazarene on Tuesday at 1 pm in San Diego.

The Sunbirds played well for the majority of the game but CUI's Bri Lopez scored in the 48th minute and Arianna Vaughn added another goal a minute later making it difficult for FPU to come back. Loren Kortizija assisted on both goals.

FPU was limited to just three shots, two on goal. Catherine Michaelis played in goal for the Sunbirds, making three saves.

The Sunbirds will be the underdogs when they take on PLNU next week, however FPU gave the Sea Lions quite a battle when the two teams met in San Diego earlier this month. FPU actually had the lead at one point, before falling 2-1.
