Fresno Pacific played well against one of the top teams in the country, but fell 16-9 to Concordia at the Concordia Invitational on Saturday despite three goals apiece from Glenn Lyon, Mateja Maksimovic and Nick Fadden. Jake Finney gave the team a chance with an incredible 13 saves.

Earlier in the day the Sunbirds lost 14-9 to Diablo Valley. Lyon led the team with five goals and Connor Greene added two.

The Sunbirds (9-20) will now play a string of home games, beginning with nationally-ranked Cal Baptist at 7:30 pm at Clovis High School.
