As a Senior (2013) - Finney had 202 saves, 40 steals and six assists…season-high 17 saves came against La Verne (9/20)…added nine stops, four steals and one assist against Pomona-Pitzer (10/5)…tallied 16 saves and three steals against Harvard (10/27)...Named to the ACWPC All-Academic “Excellent” standings.

As a Junior (2012) - Stopped 298 shots for the Sunbirds while starting all 28 matches in goal... averaged 10.64 saves per match and 11.75 goals against per match.... blocked a career-high 18 shots two times (vs. Merced 9/22, vs. Delta College 9/22).... recorded 25 steals and five assists.

As a Sophomore (2011) - Had 193 saves, 20 steals and nine assists…contributed two assists against Whittier (9/25)…had ten saves and two steals against Loyola Marymount (11/2)…tallied a season-high 13 saves against Concordia (10/15)

As a Freshman (2010) - Finney contributed 50 saves, four steals and two assists while sharing time in the net…had six saves and one steal against USC (9/24)…added ten saves and one steal against Pepperdine (9/25)…had a season-high 16 saves against Delta (10/13).

Prior to FPU- Played four years at Tracy High School, earning three varsity letters as goalie for coach Keith Britt...Earned all-conference honors all three years and won the league's top goalie award as a senior after accumulating more than 300 blocks....Was team captain for three years and was named best defensive player as a sophomore and team MVP as a junior and senior....Also played baseball and basketball and was on the varsity swimming team for two years.

Personal- Born March 4, 1992....Parents are Randy and Karen....Has a younger brother, Jared....His dad played baseball at Ohlone College and his cousin was an All-American soccer and softball player at Menlo College....People he most admires are his parents....Favorite food is Mexican....Favorite TV show Family Guy....Favorite athlete is Michael Phelps....Jake is a Pre-Physical Therapy major who hopes to one day open a business.
