A late goal would be the difference on Wednesday night as Fresno Pacific fell 1-0 to Biola in La Mirada, dropping to 5-4, 1-3 in GSAC play.

Katie Cabuling scored for the Eagles (6-5, 3-1 GSAC) in the 77th minute to break a scoreless tie. The Sunbirds took 10 shots, four on goal, but were unable to find the net. Biola held the shot advantage 18-10, with Demi Hamilton taking three shots to lead FPU.

Goalie Sarah King put together another good performance, making seven saves in goal for the Sunbirds. Erin Frushon recorded the shutout for Biola.

The Sunbirds have now lost three straight during the most difficult portion of their schedule and it won't get much easier on Saturday when the team takes on a 10-1-1 Vanguard team. The Lions and Sunbirds will square off at 3 pm at Ramirez Field.
