SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Fresno Pacific (10-0, 5-0 GSAC) takes down another conference foe away from home. The Sunbirds shutout Westmont (2-10, 1-5 GSAC) 2-0 for their tenth win of the season.
Jacob Burns homered in the sixth inning for the Sunbirds second score, and finished the day with two hits, one run and one RBI from his homerun. Danny Mora got the win for the Sunbirds pitching seven innings. Mora only allowed four hits and no runs in his outing. Mora is now 3-0 on the season.
Brian Oliver came in for the save in the final innings. Oliver allowed two hits, but got two strikeouts to finish the game with two Eagles left on base. Oliver also had an RBI off an error from Westmont in the fourth inning.
Saturday, February 21 the Sunbirds will take on Concordia back at home. The doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m.
