Sue Negrete rejoined the Fresno Pacific women’s soccer coaching staff in the spring of 2026.
With more than 20 years of experience at the collegiate, high school, and club levels, Negrete has coached multiple championship-winning programs throughout the Central Valley. Her playing career brought her to Fresno State, where she played as a defender for four years and was crowned WAC champion. Negrete previously served on the Sunbirds coaching staff from 2006–2015 and later helped establish the culture and standards at Clovis Community College from 2016–2021. She has extensive experience coaching at the high school level – at Clovis East High School and Buchannan High School for many years – as well as with California Odyssey SC, and currently works with elite girls soccer players.
Negrete holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a U.S. Soccer National D Coaching License. Outside of coaching, she serves as a substitute teacher for Clovis Unified School District. Negrete and her husband have two children and reside in Fresno.
