Respected alumna Maesyn Rix joined the Fresno Pacific Women’s Basketball coaching staff ahead of the 2026/27 season.

A native of Auberry, Buchanan High School, and a self-proclaimed “energy giver”, Rix starred for the Sunbirds from 2020-2024.  The Sacramento State transfer developed into a force in the paint for Tim Beauregard’s squad across four seasons, capped off with a memorable 2023/24 season in which the Sunbirds finished second in the PacWest with a 21-9 record and championship game appearance. During that season, Rix led the league in rebounding and was named First Team All-PacWest.  At the end of her playing career, Rix was added to Fresno Pacific’s record books with the 8^th-most career rebounds in program history.

After graduating from Fresno Pacific, Rix spent one season coaching basketball at Fresno Christian before being hired as the first-ever coach at Clovis South High School ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Rix is recently-engaged and resides in the Fresno/Clovis area. She is also the proud mom of a one-year-old golden retriever puppy named Nellie June.
