Jimmy Davidson joined the Fresno Pacific men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Davidson brings a unique blend of playing experience, interpersonal skills, and coaching pedigree to the Sunbirds. He comes from a family with a rich coaching tradition. His father, Marc, was a two-time state championship-winning coach at Blackhawk Christian School in Indiana. Jimmy's grandfather, Don, is an Illinois high school basketball coaching legend. He tallied 723 career wins and was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame in 1995.
In high school, Davidson won two IHSAA state championships at Blackhawk Christian. Davidson went on to be part of one of the best NAIA programs in the nation at Grace College, where he graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management. He was also a 15U AAU basketball coach in the summer of 2025 for Optimum Performance Sports in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Davidson has a passion to make a lasting impact on the lives of young men through the game of basketball. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, traveling, and is a huge fan of the Chicago Bears.
