Jim Jeltema was named the Assistant Athletics Director of Communications and Events in August 2024.
Jeltema joins Fresno Pacific after a decade at FOX Sports in Los Angeles. As a senior writer, producer, and director in Marketing and Promotions, Jeltema was responsible for creating and leading campaigns for marquee global properties and events, including numerous FIFA World Cups, NASCAR, NCAA Football & Hoops, as well as the launch of cable network FS1. During his time there he won four PromaxBDA (now GEMA) Awards for outstanding achievements in promotion, marketing, and design. He has also spent time as a creative director for the Tastemade streaming brand, and creative consultant for brands including Amazon Prime Video's NFL Thursday Night Football.
Originally from the midwest, Jim graduated from York St John University in York, England (UK) with a BA in Film & Television Production. Before moving west to Hollywood, his career began in the newsroom of Chicago's WGN-TV as a Morning News intern. Jim is diehard supporter of Leeds United FC, a lifelong Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Red Wings fan, and considers himself a NASCAR guru.
Jim and his wife Sara, a Fresno native, live in northwest Fresno with their two children, Jack and Presley.
