Alyssa Troutt

Alyssa Troutt was hired to lead Fresno Pacific’s inaugural STUNT program in July 2024.  One of the fastest-growing sports in the country, STUNT will become FPU's 17th intercollegiate sport and ninth women's program when it begins competition in 2025.

"I am deeply excited to be involved in the development of STUNT here at Fresno Pacific, and I can't wait to get started," Troutt said. "We will have a strong focus on recruiting local talent, and I can't wait to highlight the exceptional skills of our hometown athletes."

Troutt, a Pleasanton, CA native, has lived in Fresno since 2005.  She began competitive dancing at the age of 5 and was involved in competitive cheer from 7th grade through college.  She comes to FPU after serving primarily as a cheerleading choreographer and skills specialist since 2005.  A fixture in the local, statewide, and national cheer communities, Troutt has helped create complex routines for various programs, including the Sunbird cheer squad, is proficient in the teaching of proper technique, and regularly leads clinics and workshops to enhance team progression.

Troutt served as a coach at Clovis United since 2013, leading a successful program while mentoring athletes and ensuring skill development.  She has also acted as a cheer legality judge and official since 2010, bringing with her a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, safety procedures, routine evaluation and judging of competitions at both local and national levels.

"We are thrilled to welcome Alyssa to FPU," said Director of Athletics Kyle Ferguson.  "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience which will help build a successful program developing young women spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Additionally, Troutt spent a decade as the instructor/head instructor at the United Spirit Association, where she oversaw staff, coaches and campers in stunts and choreography.  An active member of USA Cheer, Troutt is a certified U.S. All Star Federation Legality Official, and she is certified through the National Federation of State High School Associations in Rules Interpretation.

Troutt’s husband, Chris, is a volunteer couch for FPU STUNT.  They live in the Fresno area with their son Anthony.  They attend The Well Fig Garden and enjoy spending as much together in the outdoors.
