As a Junior (2019) – ACWPC First Team All American….All-WWPA First Team….WWPA Player of the Week (1/30 and 4/17)….had an outstanding year for the Blue and Orange, leading the Sunbirds with 84 points and 55 goals on the season….also racked up 29 assists, 34 steals and 28 drawn exclusions….ranked in the top-ten for the conference in points (sixth), goals (seventh), assists (eighth) and steals (eighth) while leading the league in goals scored (15) during league play….season highlights included hitting the game-winner in FPU’s sudden death victory over CSUMB (4/13), netting seven goals and two assists against La Salle and totaling nine hat tricks on the year….during WWPA Championship play, she tallied nine points on four goals and five assists, while also swiping four steals and three drawn exclusions to power FPU to a runner-up finish, the highest in program history.

As a Sophomore (2018) - ACWPC All-American First Team....WWPA First Team....ACWPC All-Academic....Student-Athlete of the Month....Appeared in 29 games for the Blue and Orange....led the team in points (92), goals (48) and assists (44)....also picked up 42 steals, good for second best on the team....her 34 drawn exclusions were the third most of any Sunbird....season highlights include a seven point performance (six goals, one assist, 6-for-6 shooting) versus McKendree (4/28), an eight point performance (three goals, five assists, two steals) versus Cal State Monterey Bay (2/10), and a four goal, four steal, one assist showing in FPU’s win over Concordia (3/10).

As a Freshman (2017) - ACWPC and GCC All-Academic....appeared in 31 games and totaled 47 points on 22 goals and 25 assists...added 35 steals...scored three times and dished out an assist in a win over Concordia (2/11)....had a career high in goals (4) and assists (4) in a win over Caltech (3/4).

Prior to FPU - Spent four seasons on the water polo team at Vista High School for head coach Sydney Witt...scored 323 goals, recorded a program-record 469 steals and dished out 165 assists during her career...team captain for three seasons...All-League First Team member in 2014 and '16...CIF Division I champions in 2016...earned the CIF Sportsmanship Award...Scholar Athlete all four seasons...also swam in high school, spending two seasons on the varsity team...was the ASB President and a member of CSF and FCA.

Personal - Daughter of Wally and Maggie Witt...has three siblings named Sydney, Scott and Charlie...greatest sports thrill of her career was winning the CIF title her senior season in high school...chose FPU because of the Godly and friendly community...person she most admire is her mother...favorite food is pasta...enjoys watching One Tree Hill...likes to read Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson...favorite musical artist is Adele...roots for the San Diego Padres...person she would most like to meet is Lin Manuel Miranda...hobbies include hiking, traveling and long walks on the beach...attends North Coast Church...Sam is an intercultural studies major and plans to work as a developmental aid worker in the Middle East.
