Prior to FPU- Played four years at Fresno Christian High School, earning three varsity letters for coach Larry Orender....As a senior she led the team with 140 kills, 129 digs and 32 aces....Earned team MVP and All-League honors as a senior....In 2006-07 was honored as FCA athlete of the year....Led the Eagles to three league titles, including one undefeated league record....After senior season was honored with a Career Achievement award....Also played softball and helped coach track & field.

Personal- Born June 17, 1989....Parents are John and Valerie....Has four brothers and sisters, Jeff, Stephanie, Aaron and Laura....Came to FPU because she loves the people and community on campus....Her entire extended family has attended FPU....Favorite foods are peaches, strawberries and grapes....Favorite book is Crazy Love by Francis Chan....Best friend on another team is Amy Gavroian (FPU soccer)....Favorite athlete is Peyton Manning....Hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, skimboarding, playing guitar, sewing, and investing in the younger generation....Attends Bethany MB Church....Jessica is a Kinesiology major with plans to attend grad school and go into physical therapy.
