As a Junior (2014) - Appeared in 13 games off the bench....scored a goal in 2-1 win over Dominican (10/11).

As a Sophomore (2013) - Appeared in six matches for the Sunbirds....scored the game-winning goal in 1-0 win over Dominican.

As a Freshman (2012) - Appeared in 12 games, making six starts at forward in her first season with the team....took five shots and scored one goal on the season....scored first collegiate goal in her first college game vs. Southern Oregon (9/1).

Prior to FPU - Played four years of varsity soccer at Orange Cove High School for coach Jacob Huerta....named team's offensive MVP while leading the team to a Valley championship.....also won the state cup with her travel team....also competed in track & field....became the first athlete in the high school's history to go on to play college sports.

Personal - Parents are Roberto and Irene....has three siblings: Luis, Nancy and Ritchy....person she most admires is her mom....favorite food is shrimp cocktail....favorite movie is Goal II....favorite books are the Chicken Soup series....favorite sports team is Barcelona....favorite athlete and person she'd most like to meet is Marta Da Silva....Joanna, who goes by "Jay", is a kinesiology (pre-med) major with plans to go into kinesiology or become a pediatrician.
