Biography
Prior to FPU - Attended Sunnyside High School, spending three years on the varsity team under coach Ted Jeung...she was MVP in 2008 and 2009...earned the Coaches Award in 2007...was named All-League...earned the CIF Academic Achievement award.
Personal - Parents are Victor and Marlette Guzman...she has one brother, Victor, and four sisters: Alexandria, Miranda, Klarissa and Lyahnna....the person she most admires is her mom....greatest sports thrill was breaking the school record in the 400 meters....chose FPU for the small class sizes and the track & field coaching staff....favorite TV shows are Master Chef and My Wife & Kids....best friend on another college team is Sareea Freeman of Florida State volleyball....favorite athletes are Sanya Richards and Allyson Felix....home church is United Faith Foundation...hobbies include playing the piano....Deirdre is double majoring in social work and pyschology and plans to become a special education teacher or counselor.
