Career Cross Country Results
As a Sophomore (2018) – scored for the Sunbirds at the PacWest Championships (26th, 23:30.90 in the 6k)….at the Santa Clara University Bronco Invitational, she clocked a lifetime best 22:46.10 in the 6k….scored for the Sunbirds at the NCAA Division II West Region Championships (23:41.91, 3.74 Mile)....named Academic All-PacWest.
Prior to FPU - Prepped at Bullard High School under head coaches Dan Macnamara and Fabian Barrett....spent four years on the cross country team and three seasons on the track and field team....named the Most Outstanding Runner, earned the Coaches Award and was tabbed the top senior for the track team....also was a member of the badminton team for the Knights.
Personal - Daughter of Minerva and Oscar Mancilla....has three siblings....people she most admires are her parents....favorite food is a burrito from Don Pepe's....enjoys watching the TV show Veronica Mars....person she would most like to meet is Allyson Felix....Araceli is a kinesiology major with an emphasis in physical education with plans to become a PE teacher and cross country coach.
