Tim Holmes is an FPU alum and former Sunbird team captain, graduating in 2019 with a BA in Kinesiology: Physical Education Emphasis. He accumulated multiple top three finishes in all of his collegiate track and field conference championships, first at Fresno City College for two years and then for two years as an FPU Sunbird. He currently ranks 9thall-time on FPU’s school record list for the men`s hammer throw, and was the 2018 PacWest Conference champion in the hammer.
Having a broad background of coaches leading him through the throws events during his career, Holmes has a strong technical foundation in all throwing disciplines and is eager to apply them in his first year of collegiate coaching under the continued tutelage of head throws coach Ray Hansen.Â
Holmes is pursuing a career in coaching, as well as athletic administration. Outside of the sport, Tim is the oldest of three siblings, and son to Tim Sr. and Kathy Holmes. He and his girlfriend Tris enjoy trips to the local California coast and cooking together.
