Biography
Personal - Seamus was born in Walnut Creek, CA but calls Monument, CO his home...He is the son of Bryan and Heidi Alger...His hobbies include using the internet to learn random facts about how things work...Seamus is a Biology major...He plans to study drugs, diseases and genetics to find cures.
Prior to FPU - Seamus is a graduate of Decature High School in Federal Way, WA...He swam all four years and helped win State...Seamus transfered to FPU from the University of Utah.
As a sophomore (2008) - Seamus earned First Team All-American Honors...He was part of the 2008 men's team that took Runner-Up at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Championship...At Nationals, Seamus was the lead swimmer on the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay team that took 2nd place, placed 3rd in the 200 Yard Butterfly, and swam the third leg of the team that won the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
As a junior: Seamus was a part of the 2010 NAIA national championship men’s team…At Nationals, he totaled 72 points in individual and team events…Seamus was a national champion, winning, along with his teammates, the 200 medley relay …Seamus also finished fifth in the 200 butterfly, eighth in the 200 Individually Medley, and 10th in the 400 Individually Medley.
