Prior to FPU - Spent four years on the varsity swim team at Byron P Steele II High School under head coach Angie Fain....first swimmer to break every record on the team record board....earned the All-American Academic Award.

Personal - Son of Tom and Cheryl....has two sisters, Holly and Evelyn....his father played college basketball....biggest sports thrill thus far was making it to state in the 100 breaststroke....person he most admires is his father, Tom Bruner....favorite book is The Hunger Games....roots for the San Antonio Spurs....listens to Frank Ocean....slaps the back of his legs three times on the block as pre-race ritual....friend on another college team is Darrin Dziergowski of University of Texas, Permian Basin....person he would most like to meet is Tyler, the Creator....likes to draw during his free time....attends Grace Community Church....Nathan is a graphic design major who plans to become an art teacher and swim coach or graphic designer.
