Biography

As a Sophomore (2011) - Helped anchor one of the top defenses in the league, starting 17 games for the GSAC champion Sunbirds....also scored three goals, despite taking just 10 shots on the season....scored a goal in 5-2 win over Menlo (9/10)....delivered a key goal during FPU's 4-3 title-clinching win at #8 Concordia (10/29)....scored the first goal in FPU's 2-1 playoff victory over Westmont (11/2).

As a Freshman (2010)- Appeared in all 18 games, starting the last 13 games of the season on defense....improved as the season wore on, becoming one of the team's top defenders....also recorded two assists on the year, the first coming in a 3-0 win vs. Menlo (9/20) before assisting on the game-winning golden goal in a 2-1 overtime win vs. nationally-ranked The Master's.

Prior to FPU - Luke is a graduate of Bullard High School...He played soccer all four years under coach Igal Francis...His team was Valley Champion and State Finalist...He was named team captain...Luke also played club soccer with the California Odyssey Development Academy.

Personal - Luke was born and raised in Fresno...His parents are Randy and Raeann Tyler...Luke is a Biology major, and plans to become a marine biologist someday.
