As a Sophomore (2012) - Played in 13 matches for the NCCAA National Runner-Up Sunbirds....recorded his first career goal and points in a 5-0 win over UC Santa Cruz (10/23)....appeared in three NCCAA playoff games for FPU....took seven shots on the season.

As a Freshman (2011) - Appeared in 10 games off the bench for the GSAC champion Sunbirds....took a shot on goal during FPU's 1-0 win over Westmont (10/25).

Prior to FPU- Played two years at Clovis West High School for coach Neil Deans, playing at left-midfielder.

Personal- Born July 11, 1991….son of Sergio and Kathleen Venegas….has five siblings, Jeremy, Benjamin, Christopher, Michelle, and Nicholas….person he most admires is his father….favorite food is sushi….favorite sports team is Chivas Guadalajara….favorite athlete is soccer player Fernando Llorente….hobbies include singing, disc jockeying and writing….attends People’s Church….person he would like to meet the most is writer Milan Kundera….Jonathan is an English major with plans of going into the military.
