As a Junior (2012) - Had a breakout season for the NCCAA National Runner-Up Sunbirds in which he recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 20 matches....earned second team All-PacWest honors....scored in back-to-back matches twice....had three multi-assist games in wins over Dominican (10/4), Holy Names (10/6) and Trinity Lutheran (11/15)....fourth on the team in points....scored the only goal in a 1-0 playoff-clinching win over Notre Dame de Namur (11/3)....scored a goal in a penalty kick shootout win against Palm Beach Atlantic in the NCCAA Semi-Finals.

As a Sophomore (2011) - Played in all 18 games for the GSAC champion Sunbirds, starting 15 games in the midfield....took 32 shots on the season, scoring three goals with two assists....scored a goal in three consecutive games in September, including a win over Menlo (9/10), a loss at Cal State San Marcos (9/17) and a win over San Diego Christian (9/24)....recorded an assist in wins over #5 Azusa Pacific (10/5) and #21 Biola (10/11).

As a Freshman (2010) - An All-GSAC forward, Silva played in 17 games, making 15 starts for the Sunbirds....Finished second on the team with eight goals, also had two assists on the year....contributed three game-winning goals and had a .516 SOG %....scored the team's first goal of the season (8/25) vs. Embry-Riddle (AZ), a 2-0 win....gave the team an early lead with a goal and an assist against NCAA D2-ranked Sonoma State....netted a clutch goal in the closing minutes to force overtime vs. nationally-ranked The Master's, a game FPU won 2-1....scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Concordia (10/2)....had another two-goal game in FPU's 5-1 win over Point Loma Nazarene (10/30).

Prior to FPU-  Played at Colegio Curso Martins in Brazil for three seasons, earning the equivalent of three varsity letters for head coach Joao Gonzaga....Played forward and was given the "revelation player" award.

Personal- Born November 23, 1990....Parents are Mario and Terasa Cristina....Has one brother, Guilherme....Likes listening to music....Gustavo is a business administration major.
