As a Junior (2012) - Finished the season as the starting goalkeeper for the NCCAA National Runner-up Sunbirds, starting 15 of the team's last 16 matches....went 13-1-1 as the starter including four shutouts....stopped 54 shots in 17 matches for an .806 save percentage and a microscopic .87 goals against average....recorded a season-high eight saves in a 4-2 win over Holy Names (10/27)....won 13 straight starts before earning a draw against Palm Beach Atlantic in the NCCAA Semi-Finals....stopped the lone shot in a penalty kick shootout that pushed the Sunbirds past PBA and into the national title match...earned honorable mention All-PacWest after leading the conference with a .61 regular season goals against average and an .860 regular season save percentage.

Prior to FPU- Fabian played four years of varsity soccer at Sunnyside High School for coach Mike Sosa...named MVP of the team his senior season...went on to play at Fresno City College where he was named Goalkeeper of the Year and named first-team all-league.

Personal- Born February 5, 1990...Parents are Fabian and Ana Rangel...Has three siblings Brenda, Ana and Francisco...Chose Fresno Pacific because he grew up around the school and has dreamed of attending here...Person he most admires is his HS coach Mike Sosa...Favorite food is pizza...Favorite movie is Remembering the Titans...Favorite sports teams are Manchester United, San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Lakers...Favorite athlete is 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis...Fabian is a liberal studies major.
